Another poem from the In That Chair poem series. Thank you for following along and taking an inside look at therapy through the eyes of me!
In that chair,
you wake up,
you drifted away,
you’re panicked, scared,
fuzzy.
This time, not from an attempt
at your life.
This time is not mental
anguish.
This time is your health,
a medical condition that makes you
scared.
That makes you question will they believe
me.
You know you need to tell,
so scared your own husband will
doubt you.
The courage builds, you reach to not hide
yourself anymore
you tell him
and he asks
how
much
will
these
doctors
appointments
cost
us?
