Another poem from the In That Chair poem series. Thank you for following along and taking an inside look at therapy through the eyes of me!

In that chair,

you told me you were attacked,

not just attacked,

raped.

This was before #metoo

And at the same time,

you told me your goal for therapy was to start letting others in –

to be vulnerable.

You are stronger than you know.

What you don’t realize is that

you’ve already started your

vulnerability journey

by sharing your story with me,

a perfect stranger.
