I’m so grateful to everyone who tunes in for the latest poem to be posted. Not every day do we get an insider look into what happens in therapy so thank you for being willing to see the vulnerability and rawness of my therapy office.
In that chair,
you storm out,
you think that’s OK.
You yell and scream and say fuck you.
This is the person you married,
this is the person you vowed your life to.
Where did we go wrong?
When did society stop raising young boys to be men?
When did you think it was OK to talk to someone like that?
I wonder about where to go,
how to pick up these pieces.
I don’t want you back but I know the cycle,
you’ll return and she’ll be stuck,
because she doesn’t even know her worth.
