Phew, it really feels like it has been a long while since I’ve written a blog post or connected with my people. I miss my people. My family, friends, clients, and virtual community – hello again! This blog post has been a long time coming!
Say hello to:
I’m so excited to finally get to share what I’ve been working on behind the scenes! With many exciting changes at our practice in the last six months I really wanted to update our virtual vibe to reflect what’s near and dear to us – our core values and wellness mindset.
I’d love to tell you that the journey started with typical me, dreaming up big things. Because honestly, I like that story better. That story would be adventurous, fun, and exciting. It would be one that captivated the reader and convinced you all of some master plan that my sheer genius thought up.
But to be fair, this whole rebrand thing actually came less from a big, exciting process and more from scaling back and getting to the roots of who I am and what I want my business to be.
No glamor, no performing, no exciting announcements piled upon more exciting announcements.
In the last few years of owning a private practice I’ve learned a couple really cool things:
Let me be real with ya’ll – the more I pushed for things to happen on my timeline in the big, exciting way… the more they didn’t. I found an office space I loved that my team could grow into and that didn’t end up panning out. I wanted to hire more therapists to serve more people but I just couldn’t find the best fit that aligned with our vision and expertise.
I thought I was ready, but in all honesty, I needed to pause. Because here’s what I learned:
So instead, it was late last year when we added a new therapist to our team (hey, Mike!) Mike found us, right in the middle of change and was totally flexible with the journey, which was exactly what I needed. A top quality therapist with a willingness to sit tight and hang in.
I took some time to experience the holidays, be with family, and visit old friends. And then,
An old idea that Erin and I tossed around took on new life and Erin decided that she wanted to get certified in perinatal mental health (so cool!) and launch REBIRTH in person + as an e-course!
The New Year rolled around and I decided to take another long pause. I signed up for an 11-day intensive retreat on the Enneagram (ya’ll know I’m obsessed) in Menlo Park, California. I trained with some of the original thought leaders of the modern Enneagram and made invaluable connections within the Enneagram community.
And that led me exactly where I needed to be with this whole rebranding journey because while I was deep in building what I call “enneawareness” I was drawn back to the very basic things that I’ve wanted all along in my business (sans the shiny, exciting, adventurous path):
So, friends once again, welcome to…
We’re a self-pay group practice with clear core values and a deep love for healing.
So these days, I’m learning to breathe deep and pause in my story of growth.
Here’s what I knew back before I even knew what rebranding was:
Here’s what I know now:
I have the greatest job on the planet and I couldn’t be happier! Thanks for following along friends!
